CNO was incorporated in 1979. It began its operations in 1982 and became a public company as Conseco, Inc. in 1985. It changed its name to CNO Financial Group, Inc. in 2010. Today, CNO serves to more than 4 million middle-income working Americans and retirees. How CNO distributes its products:

  1. Washington National Insurance Company distributes to the customers at home and worksite through independent insurance agents and its Performance Matters Associates marketing arm.
  2. Bankers Life and Casualty Company distributes through career Bankers insurance agents.
  3. Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company distributes direct to the customers via television, internet and direct mail.
